About ARATJAPAN

Built by a Filipino traveler, for Filipino travelers going to Japan.

ARATJAPAN is a small side project. Its one job is to help Filipinos flying to Japan find the most sulit flight — not just the cheapest. The site ranks by an honest combination of price, baggage, stops, travel time, and fare flexibility, then hands you off to the airline or an OTA to actually book.

We are meta-search. You compare here, you book on the airline's site. We don't hold your card details, we don't issue tickets, and we don't manage your PNR.

Why baggage sits front and center

Most flight-search sites bury baggage under an “optional details” panel. For a Filipino flying to Japan, that's the wrong ordering. Whether the flight includes checked baggage — and how much — is often the deciding factor between two otherwise-identical fares. We put it on the card, in every result, always.

We also carry a dedicated 🧳 Pasabuy category: flights with unusually generous baggage allowance for a reasonable price. If you're headed home with pasalubong, that's the deal for you.

Design inspiration

The interface takes visual cues from late-1990s and early-2000s Japanese portal websites — dense information, small utility text, thin borders, deliberate use of underlines and color. Not a costume; a considered response to the fact that flight comparison is fundamentally about scanning a lot of numbers quickly. Retro, intentional, and mobile-first.

Who's behind this

A Filipino developer building the flight search he wished existed. If you have feedback — a bug, a route we should cover, or a Filipino comment that'd be perfect for a specific flight type — reach out via the Contact page.

Early build
ARATJAPAN is at an early stage. Live flight-provider integration is in progress; you may see mock or illustrative data on some routes. Prices shown are estimates, not guarantees — always confirm on the airline's site before booking.
